Awesome builder! They build an amazing home and actually try hard to stay in your desired budget. We had Trey *** for our Superintendent and he has been on top of the job from the beginning and even now hes staying in touch to be sure everything is to our satisfaction. We would recommend American Tradition Custom Homes to anyone thinking of building in the hill country. This review is LONG overdue. Steve & Ann built my home, I've been in it for almost 3 months now, and I am so happy with the work. My house is beautiful and exceptionally built, I couldn't be happier. Steve was recommended to me by a friend who was extremely familiar with most of the builders in the area. My friend told me that Steve was by far the most trusting, reasonably priced, honest builder, and that the quality of his homes were exceptional. So without hesitation, I called him. After our consultation, I didn't even bother to interview other builders. I'm still very happy with this decision. The build process had many bumps, surprises and delays, all due to the COVID repercussions, but clear communications from Steve & Ann kept everything moving. They were, and are, wonderful to work with. I hope to never have to build another house :), BUT, if I do.. I would be right back with Steve and Ann, doing it all over again :) Thank you so very much ! It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you and working with you. You were so extremely helpful, especially since I have never built a house before, and my house is exceptional. I can't thank you enough. It's a really great feeling when the contractor, that built my workshop, says he walked through the house and was extremely impressed at the workmanship ! When I told Steve about my late husband, without hesitation, Steve said he would give me the Veterans discount, which he offers to his Veteran customers. There is not one thing negative to say about this builder! Steve & Ann ******* are the best! We knew within about 15 mins from meeting them they were the real deal. Everything they told us was truth and the quality of their build far surpasses others we became familiar with later. We never even talked to another builder, no need to. We have heard others horror stories but NOT with ATCH! They stayed with us through the entire build and more. Very good people and excellent communicators. We are so happy with our custom home, it is everything we wanted it to be. Thank you Steve & Ann for a home that should make you very proud as well.

This was our first custom-built home. We considered multiple offers from three different builders and chose ATCH because their “dare to compare” check list of material and construction standards could not be matched by anyone for the cost per square foot. We also appreciated that they had an A+ rating with the BBB. Steve and Ann are a conscientious couple that really put their hearts into every phase of completing our home. They were available via phone, email or text usually within a few hours or a day at the most (even on some weekends). This level of service was also matched by our assigned Construction Mgr. “Trey”. He genuinely cared about any issues we might have with the construction progress and made it clear from the outset, “I will make sure your home is completely move-in ready when the time comes.” It was! It has now been one year since we moved in and both Steve and Trey came out to do the one-year home inspection. Any house settling issues or cosmetic fixes have been immediately scheduled for follow-up. Thank you ATCH for building our dream home in the country and the efforts afforded for our peace of mind from living in a beautiful and quality-built home.

ATCH built our home in Rockin J from my house plan and it turned out better than we could have imagined. The level of details and materials is far above those we've seen from other local builders. Steve and team make sure that you have a well-built, energy-effienct home. This was my 4th home built from scratch, and by far the easiest. As with any project, we had challenges, but our Building Manager, Trey ***, was wonderful and did everything possible to make us happy. Given we built amidst Covid, we were in our home in well under a year after the plans were completed. My only feedback to those looking to build, especially in Rockin J, is to look at ALL the costs you will incur to get into your home. This development has some fees and rules that may not be easy to find. That is nothing against ATCH, but a watch-out for buyers.

Carrie and I want to express our sincerest gratitude to the both of you for making our home-building experience a rewarding one in so many ways. As we mentioned to you at our very first meeting together, we needed you to manage the construction entirely and just point us toward the necessary decision-making at each stage of development. With our children, our grand children, our jobs and so many other obligations, we relied on your good judgment and resolve throughout the process and the results are amazing.
Every visitor and family member who has been to our new home comments on the craftsmanship and the attention to detail which are so rare in American homebuilding these days. Our kitchen cabinetry is a real eye-opener and has proven to be very functional as well as beautiful. We spend so much time there and the suggestions that you both made resulted in a room that is perfectly adapted to our lifestyle.
The molding work through the house adds such a quality feeling and is especially beautiful in our dining room, family room, office and master bedroom. Steve's suggestions about the way to approach the ceilings in the great room and the dining room, in conjunction with the quality way in which the house was built, further add to the warmth and design of our dream home. Visitors constantly remark that there is no room in the house in which you could fail to look around and see at least one or two features that make you aware that you are in a custom-designed and built home.
The construction site during the construction period was always well maintained, no littering with bottles, cans, half-eaten lunches. You were careful to clean up all debris every day and nothing was ever buried in the ground as a quick clean up; a professional way of approaching home-building. Ann runs a tight ship with all her subs and constantly maintains the property owner’s interest in the finish of the dwelling.
There is something about your good nature that brings good people to you. All of your sub-contractors are more like family members than business relationships. They care about their work. They are pleasant and polite and they are committed to doing their best (Several mentioned that Ann's eagle eye would find any mistake and would make them correct it.) But more importantly, they were genuinely proud of their craft and they happened to be the very best.
Steve, you kept us well informed by email and telephone updates weekly and directed our attention to the purchases needed for each upcoming phase of construction. Needless to say we trusted you with substantial supervision over payments and with large amounts of money involved, you were detailed and exacting in your work. Thank you for being worthy of our trust.
Looking back on the past year plus, Carrie and I are grateful that we were able to place our dependence on you both, and that you gave us your very best. We wish you continued good health and success in all you do. Please do not hesitate to have new prospective clients call us.
